About: This is my Japanese Kana Quiz to help learn to recognize the symbols used in Hiragana and Katakana. It should be fairly straight forward. The "Reset Quiz" button at the top starts a new quiz. The "Settings" button reveals a set of settings for switching between Hiragana, Katakana, or both. There's also a set of settings for switching between the basic 46 symbols and the full sets. Katakana has a few more characters in its full set. The final set of settings is for choosing your answering method: Buttons or Typing. Buttons are the default and allows you to use the quiz with your mouse. The typing method with have a text field where you can type in answers and hit the enter key, which will then move to the next question. Changing any of the settings will result in reseting the quiz to a new one.
The quiz will go through every symbol in a random order with each symbol appearing once per quiz. The current symbol is shown in the large box in the center of the screen. Below that is a set of answers to choose between (if you're using the buttons method, otherwise a text field). Use the mouse to click on the answer (or type in and answer) you think is correct. The message box below the choices will reveal whether or not you made the right choice. If you choose incorrectly it will show you the right answer. Below the message box is your current score in both percentage form as well as telling you the number of correct answers out of the number of questions asked so far.
