Freelance Web Designer
I've been doing web design since about 2002, and most who see my work feel I'm good at it. I can help out with a number of different needs that you may have. Just send me an email to get things started and I'll see what I can do for you.
Types of Sites
The types of sites that I can create are;
Personal: Your own site with: personal information, pictures from a vacation, pages about your hobbies and interest, or whatever.
Business: Have a home business that you want to advertise on the internet? I haven't worked on business sites yet, but still have a good understanding of what goes into them. I'd be of better help to a business site by providing a consultation service for the design and usability aspects for the site. Depending on the extent of consulting needed I may be willing to do it for free because I enjoy it.
Skills
I am skilled at semantic HTML using standards and guidelines, client-side scripting like JavaScript, server-side scripting languages like PHP, Python, and Perl. I'm also very skilled at using CSS stylesheets for the design and layout of web pages. I'm also an art hobbiest so can create graphics if you need them.
Examples of my work
I don't have a lot of work to show off that I've done, partly because some of it was done for the government and I'm not allowed to claim it as my work. The best example of my work is on this site. It shows a bit of my design skills. I'm currently working on setting up a section that shows off my skills in each web technology, but that is a work in progress. Pricing
What does it cost to have me as your web designer? Unfortunately that is a hard question to answer. I will have to make those judgements on a per job basis. Whether I'm paid hourly or a fixed payment I'll charge a fair and competitive amount that you'll find hard to beat.
