Angelwatt?
Angelwatt is a two-part acronym:
- Angel: All-around Nice Guy Everyone Likes
- Watt: Winning All The Time (Also the abbreviation for wattage, like a 60 watt light bulb)
- Angelwatt: Angelic Power, or something like that.
All together it represents angel power, or the power of an angel. Though it sounds religious that's not what it's about. I enjoy helping people out, putting others before myself, and I try to simply watch out for others when I can. I'm also a Buddhist, which focuses a lot of attention on compassion, and that's something I strive for. I like what angels represent even though I don't believe they exist, but I don't think that's important. Something doesn't have to be real in order for it to influence people.
I created the acronym WATT a number of years ago for playing video
games. A number of games only let you use 3 letters when putting in a
name for a high score. I didn't like my 3-letter initial combo because
it partly spelled a naughty word. One of my all-time favorite games is
Secret of Mana,
which was created for the SNES. One of the characters in the game was named Watt.
He was a blacksmith who helped the main characters upgrade the
weaponary throughout the game, thus providing a critical role in the
saving of the world. He was an interesting character so I thought up an
acronym for the letters W-A-T, and finally came up with Winning All
the Time
. I haven't come across too many games I can't beat so it
also reflects my gaming capabilities. Just wish I had more time to play
them these days.
