Kendall's Home Page
Welcome to my site. I have eclectic interests and I talk about a number of them on my web site. Take a look around and learn about myself and things I've come to learn. The navigation links will get you around. So go ahead and start exploring. Contact me if you see any inaccuracies or want to chat.

I've created a page to show off my JavaScript for displaying images from thumbnails and links to images. Check out the page that describes the script. I've put a bit of work into and think it works quite well. Hope you enjoy it.

I've been around, making some updates here and there over time. I've removed some of the Winter styles of the site I had put up. Just got a little bored of them. I've also been making some back-end changes that aren't really apparent from the visitor perspective. My recipes in the food section have been completely turned over to XML formats and I use XSL with PHP to transform them into the pages you see. I've also made my artwork into XML. I added some JavaScript to the artwork pages that allow you to view the full size image without leaving the page. Hope it looks alright, took me a while to code up. I did some redesign on my about page making it a little more streamlined.
As I've continued to work on studying Japanese I put together a quiz to help me study the characters. I think the quiz is pretty neat myself. There's a few options and the ordering and answer choices are completely randomized so the quiz will be different each time you take it. Hope anyone that comes across it enjoys it. I at least had fun making it.

As you may have noticed I made some style changes to the site. I've given it a winter theme, though nothing too drastic. Kept my underlying colors, but added some more green to the background, and festive icons throughout, and some snow here and there. Hope you like the look. It'll be around for a few months probably. I've also created a new page on my site called publications, which holds well all of my publications that I did for work. The page list each paper along with an abstract and a link to view a PDF version of the paper. Don't think this'll grow a whole lot, but some people may find the papers interesting.

Made some big changes to my site as you may have noticed. Restructured the sites directories a little bit so I have just one home page. I've also gotten rid of the site design controls so there's only this one design now along with a specialized print style sheet that you can see with a print preview.

Created a new section to my web site. It's on Japanese and is now in the navigation menu. I've been trying to learn Japanese for years and trying to find new ways to make it more accessible to me when I'm up for studying a little bit. It's a work in progress so not a lot of information just yet, but go ahead and check out my Japanese study page.
